Sales Email for Macy’s (Spec)

The client (spec): Macy’s is a large department store and retail leader with a broad selection of fashionable clothing. 

Project: Macy’s wants to promote their “Macy’s Men’s Fall Sweater Event” through a sales email. The goal is to convince the target audience to visit the store during the limited-time sales event so that they can buy.

Target audience:  Male email subscribers between the ages of 28-45 with an annual income of $50k+. They value savings, style, and convenience.

Tone: Promotional & clever

My strategy: I created a benefit-heavy subject line to appeal to the audience’s love for savings: “Prepare for cooler weather at our men’s Sweaters sale!” I keep the email copy simple, catering to their love for stylish taste and a good deal.
